We are Double Dutch III. Two Dutch friends and former colleagues, Eddy Kleinjan and Nick Nikijuluw, taking on a very Australian adventure: Shitbox Rally 2027 the Autumn edition.
In April 2027, we’ll be driving a car worth no more than $1,500 from Port Augusta to Townsville, covering some of Australia’s toughest roads over seven unforgettable days. We koined our friends from Double Dutch I and Double Dutch II, three Dutch teams, a collection of questionable cars, and one very worthwhile cause.
Like so many people, Eddy and Nick have their own personal experiences with cancer and the impact it has on family, friends and the people around us. That makes this rally about much more than the adventure. It’s their way of doing something positive and helping improve the chances for people facing cancer in the future.
We dedicate our mission to Frans Andriessen and Herald Kleinjan.
Every team in the Shitbox Rally is required to raise at least $5,000 for Cancer Council, supporting vital cancer research.
We’d like to raise considerably more than that, and that’s where we need your help.
Please support Double Dutch III and help us turn this crazy Australian adventure into something that really matters. Every donation, large or small, gets us closer to our goal and helps fund better research, better treatments and, ultimately, better outcomes for cancer patients.
Three Dutch teams, one Australian adventure, and one cause that matters to all of us.
We’re counting on your support!

They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
