In Autumn 2027, we'll be climbing into our trusty peice of Australian engineering - a 2002 Ford AU Falcon and driving it all the way from Port Augusta to Townsville over 7 unforgettable days as part of the Shitbox Rally.
This isn't just a road trip. It's a challenge with a purpose.
We're doing this in honour of the incredible people in our lives who have faced cancer. Our mums, Ali & Kath, have both fought through cancer treatment with remarkable strength and courage.
We've also experienced the heartbreaking loss of Ella's grandparents John, Jack & Jean, along with her uncle Terry, who sadly lost their battles with cancer.
Like so many Australian families, cancer has touched our lives in ways we'll never forget. That's why we're determined to do something that can help make a difference for others.
Every Shitbox Rally team must raise at least $5,000, with 100% of every dollar donated going directly to Cancer Council to fund life-saving cancer research and support services for Australians affected by cancer.
Whether it's $5, $50 or $100, every donation brings us one step closer to our goal—and one step closer to better treatments, more support for families, and ultimately, a future where fewer people have to hear the words, "You have cancer."
We'll be sharing plenty of laughs, breakdowns (🤞🏼 hopefully none), dust, and unforgettable moments along the way, follow our social media for a insight to this - @knobby2nuts , but the real journey is helping create hope for families facing cancer.
Please support Brad & Ella as we take on the adventure of a lifetime. Together, we can turn a trusty peice of classic Australian Motorsport manufacturing - Au Falcon into something truly powerful.
Donate today and help us drive towards a future free from cancer. Thank you for being part of our journey. ❤️
All businesses who donate - we would love to stick a branded sticker on the car! Please message either Brad or Ella for more details!
Knobby 2 nuts are driving a $1,500 car from Port Augusta to Townsville to raise money for Cancer Council
They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
