Meet the Crew & The CarWe aren't taking luxury into the red dirt. Here is how we are rolling:The Drivers: Sonya & Nicole (better known to everyone as Zippa). We’ve been best mates since kindergarten, so if anyone can survive a week trapped in a tiny cabin with no air conditioning, it’s us.
The Ride: A good old, indestructible Aussie legend—a Toyota Camry affectionately named Mad Maxine. She cost next to nothing, but she’s got a big heart (and hopefully a working radiator).
The Accommodation: No 5-star hotels for us. We are packing our trusty swags and a trusty Esky filled with cold drinks and optimism. ⛺️🧊🎯
Why We Are Doing This?
Cancer has touched almost all of our lives in some way. We are putting our friendship, our spines, and a budget Camry to the ultimate test to support the incredible work done by the Cancer Council.Every single dollar we raise goes directly toward funding life-saving research, better treatments, and support for families doing it tough. We cannot reach our goal alone—we need your donation to get us over the starting line and keep us moving forward.

Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
