What could possibly go wrong with driving a $1,500 car nearly 4,000 km across Australia? Probably plenty... and that's exactly why we're doing it!
We've wanted to tackle the Shitbox Rally for years, and now we're finally taking the plunge. Armed with questionable mechanical knowledge, blind optimism, and a car that's already exceeded everyone's expectations just by starting, we're hitting the road.
As much as we're looking forward to the adventure (and inevitable breakdowns), this rally is about something far more important. We're raising money for the Cancer Council, a cause that's incredibly close to our hearts. Like so many Australians, we've had mates who have fought cancer, and we've also lost friends to this cruel disease.
Every dollar donated helps fund life-saving research, prevention programs, and support services for people affected by cancer.
So, if you can spare a few bucks, we'd really appreciate it. Help us turn an unreliable old car into something that can make a real difference. And if the car doesn't make it to the finish line... at least your donation still will!

Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
